Our due date is now here.. we will still look into ways to fix distracted driving as it was a fun project to work on for the past month and a bit. A big flaw in our project that we noticed was experts not responding to us and taking us seriously as we are high school students.

They were interested in our idea of solving distracted driving. Their positive feedback will be useful towards our project in the future. Some of the problems we ran into were figuring out how to only block the driver's phone and not the passengers.
We have heard back from Toyota and KPU. Toyota did not give us the best of help that we were expecting and KPU is just hearing from some colleges and assured us to let us know that we would hear from them before our due date, May 4th.
Just contacted ICBC and are now making steps for our idea to work

Thailand thought that if people saw what the after math of causing accidents by distracted driving that their stats of the accidents caused by it would go down.
Here is a article about how they are sending people to work at the morgue if they cause a accident by distracted driving. http://www.ctvnews.ca/world/thai-drunk-drivers-may-serve-stint-as-morgue-helpers-1.2854082 Hi there we are three grade 12 students from Walnut Grove Secondary school that have been assigned a project about issues in the lower mainland. The issue we have decided to do research and find a way to fix is distracted driving. Distracted driving is getting worse day by day with the whole situation of cellphones. Do you find your self wanting to check your cell phone knowing you got a text message or a notification from a game while driving? if yes, you are apart of many people that end up texting and driving. Our plan to try and fix texting and driving is like a proximity card where when your how many meters away from your car your phone turns off in till your far enough away from the car once again. There are some flaws in our idea so we would please like to hear some feed back about the issue in the lower main land.
